ABLE is pleased to announce that we are the recipient of the Purple and Gold Award – Outstanding Pre-Professional & Academic Group. This award recognizes our outstanding commitment to educating others regardless of our pre-professional and/or academic field of choice through programming during the 2010-2011 academic year.
ABLE is proud to announce that we are the recipient of the President’s Award for Leadership – Community Service Award. This award recognizes the group’s significant contributions to the quality of student life on campus. We have been recognized for painting the Lincoln Elementary School.
ABLE was also awarded with the Rising Star Award from the American Cancer Society for raising over $1600
for Relay for Life.
2009-2010
ABLE is proud to announce that we are the recipient of the Most Involved in Community At-Large Award. This Purple and Gold Award honors a Student Association recognized student organization that has had a very strong presence in the Albany community at-large during the 2009-2010 academic year and succeeds in carrying out the mission statement of their group through community service and volunteer efforts. We are recognized for working well with outside organizations and positively representing the University at Albany in the neighboring areas.
ABLE executive board member and current president, Andy Toppin was awarded with the Graduating Student Leader Award. This award recognizes graduating students who have taken leadership roles in their respective Student Association recognized student organizations and have devoted much time and energy into their organization with the desire to leave a lasting impact, so that emerging student leaders may follow in their footsteps in the years to come.
ABLE executive board member and future president for the 2010-2011 year, Neema Moghadam was awarded with the Emerging Student Leader Award. This award recognizes young, up-and-coming student leaders who have taken great initiative in becoming active members of their respective Student Association recognized student organizations.
